An excellent turn out of coaches attended the workshop which was presented by Jane Griffin a Sports Scientist from Lucozade, on the subject of nutrition and fluid intake during sport.
In addition the workshop was attended by Alan Walker, head of Coaching and Education for the Kent FA. Alan gave advice to the coaches on the way forward in their individual development.
The evening was very informal and relaxed and was finished off with a free raffle and a buffet.
Considering the snow blizzard it was a very successful evening and The Kent FA received great feedback from all who attended and the members advised that the workshop was very interesting and a lot of the information can be used within grassroots football.
The Kent County Coaches Association is aiming to link up with Surrey and other Counties’ Coaches Associations to extend its range of courses/seminars on offer, bringing more variety and opportunities for our coaches and enabling them to meet others from different areas to share ideas and methods etc.
