First Aid Workshop

This workshop is for all coaches, medics and referees in football where youngsters are involved, including where Under 18s are playing adult football.

For those involved with Charter Standard or taking coaching, medical and refereeing qualifications, Emergency Aid is mandatory.

Kent FA includes this as part of the Coaching Course set dates.

All these dates are part of a Coaching Course. If you enrol on a Coaching Course you do not need to individually enrol on this Workshop. You can however enrol on this Workshop if you wish to only complete this element.

Course Objective:

  • Preserve Life
  • Limit Effects
  • Promote Recover

Course Syllabus:

Theory:

  • Primary & Secondary Assessment.
  • Approach to an incident 
  • Assessment of Priorities
  • Checking responsiveness 
  • Opening the airway 
  • Checking breathing 
  • Emergency Services
  • CPR
  • Recovery position (for breathing casualty)
  • Control of bleeding /Dressing of wounds
  • Plus many other conditions & scenarios that may occur around the field of play.

The course is approximantly 3 hrs long.
