  • Course aims and objectives:
  • To understand what is what is meant by handling and movement
  • To be able to explain elements of a safe warm up
  • To understand how to develop simple movement activities
  • To understand how to identify fun , safe, and appropriate practices
  • To be able to develop Physical Literacy through handling and movement activities
Course Content:

Theory: The course will introduce some key aspects in the following:

  • Defining activities that incorporate handling
Practical: Practical elements of the course will provide an introduction to:
  • Warm ups
  • Working in pairs
  • Working in 4’s smaller groups
  • Working in 8’s and larger groups

Practical Involvement: Candidates will be encouraged to participate practically to maximise their opportunities for learning. (This however will not prevent successful completion of the award)
