- Course aims and objectives:
- To understand what is what is meant by handling and movement
- To be able to explain elements of a safe warm up
- To understand how to develop simple movement activities
- To understand how to identify fun , safe, and appropriate practices
- To be able to develop Physical Literacy through handling and movement activities
Course Content:
Theory: The course will introduce some key aspects in the following:
- Defining activities that incorporate handling
Practical: Practical elements of the course will provide an introduction to:
- Warm ups
- Working in pairs
- Working in 4’s smaller groups
- Working in 8’s and larger groups
Practical Involvement: Candidates will be encouraged to participate practically to maximise their opportunities for learning. (This however will not prevent successful completion of the award)
