RE-CERTIFICATION:

Kent County FA is pleased to announce that The FA has now launched a Safeguarding Children Online Recertification course for participants who completed the Safeguarding Children Workshop over three years ago. This online recertification course has now replaced the booklet and check sheet method of recertification.

It is best practice to refresh your Safeguarding Children learning every three years and it is now an FA requirement that Licensed Coaches recertify at three yearly intervals.

This course is easy to access and you can complete it in your own time wherever you can access the internet. It will help ensure your knowledge and practice is up to date.

The course gives practical examples of situations that occur in football and gives advice on how to deal with them, from whether you can use photographs of children on your website to dealing with bullying or suspected child abuse. There is a recap of the face to face Safeguarding course and new information, like changes in the law and how to protect children on the internet.

You can gain access to the module at http://eventspace.thefa.com/onlinecourses and for more information please click on the FAQs page in the related documents section.
