Education covers 5 - 23 year olds and therefore, it is an ideal partner to support the growth of more players into existing and new football teams.
With all 5 - 16 year olds in full time Education and 50% of 17 - 21 year olds now in Further and Higher Education, the Kent County FA are working with the Kent Schools FA to achieve their strategic outcomes.
Kent County FA run several programmes to increase high quality football opportunities in Education, both in terms of enabling young people to play football and also encouraging young people to volunteer in football. These initiatives include:
- FA Football Futures
- FA School Club Links
- FA Education CPD Modules
More information about these initiatives can be found by following the respective links on the left hand side.

The objective is to develop a clear a consistent competition pathway for all young people. To support this, the Kent Schools FA have developed an Annual County Schools FA Competition plan.
This details the competition priorities for the Kent Schools FA and the English Schools FA and has been developed in partnership with the Kent County FA.
The plan includes developing the School Futsal competitions that are now in their 4th year, as well as targeting Under 16 girls to try and reverse the numbers dropping out of Football.
