Funding for pitch and facility development is available from the Football Foundation and the needs of the project will be driven by your football development plan.
The Football Foundation normally funds projects at around the 50% level so you need to consider partnership funding. The Football Foundation will look more favourably on projects that try to secure more funding by applying to other sources, even if not successful (any rejection letters should be keep to show you have applied).
The types of facilities that the Football Foundation gives money for are:
- Grass pitches drainage/improvements
- Pavilions, clubhouses and changing rooms
- Artificial turf pitches and multi-use games areas
- Fixed floodlights for artificial pitches
Revenue grants are also available to deliver football development associated with the new facility (e.g. coaching, football development officer). The maximum grant available from the Foundation for each facilities project is £1m.
More details are available on the Football Foundation website www.footballfoundation.org.uk. Application Process
The first stage of application is to complete the Pre Application forms to give us more information about your project and the football development outcomes.
This will then be discussed with the Kent County FA Pitches and Facilities Working Group to determine if your project is a priority for the Kent County FA.
Following submission of your Pre Application forms we will either arrange a visit to the site or ask you to attend a facility surgery to discuss the Football Development outcomes, potential designs and a business plan for your project.
Following this you will be able to go away and start working on all areas of the application.
