The FA Club Links programme enables qualified coaches from FA Charter Standard Clubs to support Schools in their development of Football. The aim of the programme is to support young people to move into community based clubs or assist schools in developing intra/inter school teams. Initially Schools that have been identified as being part of the FA School Club Link programme will be invited to become a FA Club Link School. Any other School wishing to become a FA Club Link School will need to complete the Expression of Interest Form.
Leadership & Volunteering
The FA Leadership and Volunteering programme facilitates placements for young people aged 16+ in FA Charter Standard Clubs/Leagues or other appropriate agencies. The programme also supports Step into Sport students to qualify as a FA Level 1, FA Age Appropriate coach or qualified referees. The programme will also provide work experience for young leader’s wishing to develop as administrators. The KCFA will provide a CPD event for Step into Sport students and or other football leaders working in clubs and leagues. The KCFA will also select and nominate one girl and one boy aged 16-17 for The FA National Leadership Camp.
Key outcomes of the programme are the development of a high quality experience for young leaders that will encourage their longevity as a volunteer. The students will be gaining valuable workforce experience and supporting Football's voluntary network. There will be more qualified coaches in FA Charter Standard Clubs and an increase in the number of qualified referees in the game. The programme will also support the Personal Development of young volunteers via County events and through the selection of one male and one female leader to attend the FA National Leadership Camp.
