Football is the top female sport and in the last season 133,000 players competed in affiliated league and cup competition.
FA research has shown that more than 1.5 million girls under the age of 15 played some form of football over the past 12 months and it is our aim to engage those girls in competitive school teams or youth clubs.
The FA funds 43 full-time officers to specifically develop opportunities for girls and there is a player pathway to steer talented girls from the beginnings of mini soccer at a young age right through to the Centres of Excellence and England teams.
Whether you’re a beginner at Primary School or hitting your teens and have never played before, or maybe you’re in your 20s and want to get back in the game, there is an opportunity for you. Click here to use the Find a Club search.
