In 2004, The FA launched it’s Disability Football Strategy with a commitment to developing disability football from grassroots level through to England squads via appropriate player pathways.
Part of this player pathway has been the establishment of County Under 17 representative squads for players with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
The 2006/2007 South East League was split into two groups with Kent being crowned winners in October with a 4 - 1 win against Berks & Bucks South .
The Kent Under 17 MLD/EBD representative squad is a new addition to the disability football development programme in Kent and will allow talented players from local clubs and schools the chance to develop and progress.
