Botswana welcomes Kent donations

Last month Keith Masters, Chief Executive KCFA, returned to Botswana in respect of the Twinning Agreement which exists between KCFA and the South East Region of the Southern African Republic.

Whilst there Keith conducted Seminars for the Leagues in the Region and also for Referees.

The KCFA provided a trophy for the Development of football in the region. A tournament was organised at the VCD Stadium, Tlokweng on Saturday 1st March, Four teams contested the inaugural competition which was won by Mayblazer Youth Academy who beat Mogobane in the Final after a penalty shoot out.

KCFA made an appeal for kit for Botswana in 2006 which was subsequently sent out thanks to great assistance from the Football Association. The winners of the competition wore kit donated by Tonbridge Wells.

Whilst in Gaborone Keith was also pleased to present a large supply of UMBRO Referees kit donated by his good friend Jeff Pettit of A&H International.

The Botswana FA have introduced their ‘Football Development Appeal’ and have invited Keith to be the International Patron. Such will mean that Keith will do what he can to secure funding, kit etc all of which is much needed in Botswana. He will be pleased to hear from any Club, League or other avenue that would be prepared to assist.
