The Kent Disability League is a county league that caters for pan disability players from all over Kent. There are three junior divisions and two adult sections as well as a skills session for female players. The league is run at a central venue (Kicks Soccer Centre) and this year will run on five league dates throughout the season. The dates are as follows: 5th October, 9th November, 8th February, 8th March and 5th April .There is a Champions Cup tournament which is run in the summer. On each of the league dates teams gather at Kicks soccer to play all the other teams in the league in a tournament style format. The results are collated during the course of the season and the winners are presented with their trophies at the final league event in April.

The first round of games of the Kent Disability League 2008/2009 got off to a wet and windy start on Sunday 5th October at Kicks Soccer Centre in Strood.

This season the league has moved to Kicks Soccer Centre in Strood which boasts some of the best 3G playing facilities in the county. Despite the unpredictable British weather all the players showed an abundance of energy and enthusiasm in the first round of league matches. The players seemed to take the change of venue and the new competition all in their stride. It was also fantastic to see so many supporters brave the weather to cheer on their teams.

The league is now in its third year and has grown considerably this year with two new adult sections as well as the existing U11’s section, the U16’s Division 1 and U16’s Division 2. This season also sees the formation of a female only skills area where girls and ladies of all ages are invited to take part in a series of skills drills and small sided games. Liz Symons, Football Development Officer for Women and Girls Football is keen to establish to a girl’s only section of the league in the near future on the back of the interest generated from the female skills events.

This season saw 10 new teams enter the league. The teams competing in the five divisions are as follows:
