Kent Disability League

The last day of the Kent Disability League proved to be an exciting climax to what has been another brilliant season of football.

The atmosphere was tense as the teams battled it out to see who would walk away with the honours. The day was blessed with good weather and there was fantastic vocal support for all the teams involved. The final round of games were eagerly contested affairs and there was some fantastic football played on show.

Congratulations to all those who took part in this years league and for making it a memorable season.

The Winners

Under 11’s Winners – Swanscombe Tigers
Under 11’s Runners Up – Charlton Athletic

Under 16 Division 1 Winners – Maidstone United
Under 16 Division 1 Runners Up – Invicta Valiants

Under 16 Division 2 Winners – Swanscombe Tigers (A)
Under 16 Division 2 Runners Up – Invicta Valiants (A)

Adult Championship Winners – Thanet Galaxy (A)
Adult Championship Runners Up – Canterbury City

Adult League Winners – Larkfield
Adult League Runners Up – St Margaret’s

This year’s league as been the biggest and best season so far with 12 new teams participating in this season’s league. This was also the first year of the new Kent Disability Adult league which consisted of two new divisions and proved to be very successful for everyone involved.

A big thank you must go to Alex McHale and his staff at Kick Soccer Centre in Strood for hosting the league and doing all the fixtures, results and league tables. We now look forward to the Champions Cup event on 16th May at Kicks Soccer Centre and the South East Regional Ability Counts Festival on Sunday 17th May in Maidstone.
