The Kent County FA is pleased to announce the 2009 County FA Charter Standard Club of the year, Rainham Eagles FC.
Eagles, who were formed in season 2001-2002, gained the coveted Charter award a few years later.
With eleven teams ranging from Under 8’s to two adult teams the club has won various awards for Fair Play in addition to League and Cup success throughout this time.
The club has dedicated time and effort in reforming the clubs fresh and easy to navigate website (www.rainhameagles.co.uk) which includes details of all of our teams, contacts and committee members has increased participation and interest within the club.
Once recruited all club volunteers are enrolled onto the FA Level 1 Coaching in Football course as soon as possible which includes both First Aid and Safeguarding Children Workshops
With members appointed to the committee to perform specific roles and tasks, the club ensures that not only do the club follow the standards set out by the Kent FA, but that everyone within the club has a fair and equal opportunity to manage, coach, develop and to play football.
Eagles are committed to the FA Respect Programme and encourage all managers and coaches to communicate with parents, guardians and members to ensure all understand the importance of Respect.
Within the nomination Rainham demonstrated good practice such as open days to introduce new players looking to gain experience of the game free of charge, as well as offering coaching to local schools.
The club are currently looking to achieve the FA Charter Standard Development Club Award.
