KCFA working to kick out racism

3:38 PM, Tuesday, 17 November 09. Equality Policy

Kent County Football Association is backing a massive initiative to abolish racism in the game. The ‘Kick It Out’ campaign aims to work at grassroots, amateur and professional levels, to tackle racial abuse and harassment.

Kent County FA held a special event at Charlton Athletic FC to bring clubs and players together to discuss how discrimination can be eradicated from football.

The FA is keen to help all local football clubs to recognise and cultivate opportunities within their community, and to understand that everyone should be included regardless of race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation or disability.

The ‘Kick It Out’ campaign is urging clubs to show that they embrace diversity and are open and accessible to everyone.
