The Kent County FA Women’s & Girls’ Sub Group

The Kent County Football Association is delighted to announce the setting up of a Women’s and Girls’ Football Sub Group. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get involved within the administration of football, and help your County build equality into creating Better Players, helping grow and retain teams, assist in running the game and raising standards.

These are exciting times for football in Kent. We are looking for people who are influential in their local community, who have an excellent understanding of the Women’s and Girls’ game, who are strategic and visionary thinkers, and are passionate and committed to bring about change. The Women’s and Girls’ sub group will report to the Kent FA Equality Advisory Group.

Aims of the Women’s & Girls Sub Group:

  • To identify the key issues that football needs to address with regards to women’s and girls’ football.
  • To build wider understanding of the benefits of Equality and diversity
  • To advise The County FA on an ongoing basis on policy and strategy with regards to the development of the women’s game within Kent.
  • To receive issues for consideration and feedback from County FA staff & Committees
  • To promote a culture of respect for all groups and communities and to champion equality issues
  • To promote and share good practice
  • To consult and review the effectiveness of The County FA’s strategy to achieve targets around women’s and girls’ football 
  • To ensure that the needs of all groups and communities in football are met
