Funding and Facilities

Are you looking to update, renovate or build a facility for your football club or team? This section of Kent FA is to guide you in the right direction. The key to developing any facility project is to work with Kent FA.

Kent FA has a key role to support any facilities project by guiding you through the funding that is available and most appropriate through either the Football Foundation, Sport England or Local Authorities.

Kent FA recognises the importance of high quality facilities for football within the county. We work in partnership with local authorities in the county to understand the demand for facilities, protect playing fields and to address any issues with the loss of facilities.

Expressions of Interest

The FA now runs an online expression of interest form for clubs or organisations wishing to apply for funding for new facilities, where clubs can outline their project, end users and other supporting materials.  Click the link below or copy the URL into your browser window.

Funding

Funding for facilities is constantly changing, but Kent FA aims to keep you up to date with the main funding bodies that can support the development of any facility project.

Funding is potentially available from the following organisations:

Football Foundation

The Football Foundation’s funding partners - the Premier League, The FA and the Government (through Sport England) will be investing £102 million over the next three years into a new fund to be managed by the Football Foundation.

This new Fund will be called the “Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund” and will replace the previous Football Foundation Grass Roots Facilities Fund. The Fund will be managed by the Football Foundation and will be open to football clubs, schools, councils and local sports associations to support the development of new or refurbished local football facilities.

Applications that are already within the system will continue to be processed as normal.

The Foundation will start to accept applications and Expression Of Interest forms for the new Fund with effect from Monday 20 January 2014.In the meantime applicants can register their interest by submitting a Registration of Interest Form, which can be found at: www.footballfoundation.org.uk/funding-schemes.
