Kent FA announce details of day for young football leaders – Saturday 30th June
Kent FA's Football Futures Day for young leaders is an event aimed specifically at young people aged 14-24. Details of the day are as follows:
Kent FA Football Futures Day
Date: Saturday 30th June 2012
Venue: University of Kent, Canterbury
Time: 9am – 5pm
Cost: Free!
Places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis
At the event, young leaders will have the opportunity to take part in a series of workshops to develop their skills and knowledge as a young leader in football. Details of these workshops are as follows (please note, these workshops are currently being finalised and may be subject to change):
Introduction to Coaching Futsal
FA Futsal tutor, Ben Tadmor will give you an insight into the South American small sided game of Futsal, which has played a significant role in the development of current top players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Robinho and Nani and Brazilian legends like Pele, Zico and Rivelino.
Careers in Football
Ideal for those thinking of a career in football in a non-playing capacity – we will have speakers who work in a variety of roles in football, from professional coaches to football development staff and more. You will have the opportunity to find out what their job involves and will be able to ask them questions and get their advice.
Coaching 5-11 year olds
In this workshop, experienced FA qualified coaches will show you some great practices to use when coaching young players and will share some hints and tips to help make your coaching sessions more effective and a great learning experience for the players.
The FA Youth Review
As you may be aware, the FA have recently announced revolutionary changes to youth football in this country. This session will bring you up to speed with what these changes are and how they will support young players’ development.
In addition to the opportunity to attend these workshops, we will also have plenty of football related goodies to give away on the day and you will have the opportunity to meet other young football leaders from all over Kent!
