Girls' Cup Final Weekend

The girls' Kent County Cup finals get underway on Sunday 12th May, with both the u16s and u14s finals at Sittingbourne FC.

The opening game is the u16 girls, where Long Lane take on Crayford Arrows.

Long Lane’s route to the final included a comfortable 4-1 win over Tunbridge Wells and a five-goal semi-final thrashing of Gravesham Girls & Ladies, despite both matches being away from home.

Long Lane have only conceded one goal so far in this competition, a statistic that will be tested on Sunday by Crayford Arrows who have found the net no less than 16 times in the three previous rounds, again playing two of their three qualifying rounds on the road.  A 6-1 semi-final victory over Swale will mean the arrows go into this final with confidence, in what promises to be an open and attacking Cup Final tie.

The second final of the day sees the u14 girls of Kent Football United take on Phoenix Sports in what promises to be another high-scoring encounter.

Phoenix Sports showed their goalscoring prowess early in the competition with a 14-0 victory in round one, and both teams scored 7 goals in their respective semi-final wins so will be hoping to find the net with ease on Cup Final day.

Both matches will be on Sunday 12th May at Sittingbourne FC, Central Park, Church Road Eurolink Estate, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3SB.  The u16 final will kick-off at 10:30 and the u14 final at 13:30.  Admission to the ground is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.  Car parking at Sittingbourne FC is free.
