Members Sought for Independent Disciplinary Panel

In July 2017, The Football Association mandated that from January 2018 all county FA disciplinary hearings (commissions) must have at least one independent member adjudicating on the panel; a move fully endorsed by Kent FA.

As part of the process, we are seeking to appoint members for our Independent Discipline Panel, (IDP). The main role of the IDP will be to assist in all Kent FA Disciplinary Commissions established to adjudicate any charges at local level.

We are looking for a diverse group of committed individuals across the County with a variety of backgrounds and to be reflective of the local community, football teams, refereeing community and competitions. Applicants need to be independent from The FA and County FA structures and have relevant experience of judicial fundamentals to sit and adjudicate on such cases. In all circumstances full training and mentoring will be provided.

The appointments are on a voluntary basis, although expenses may be paid in line with the Kent FA expenses policy.

If you know of anyone who you feel would be suitable to apply for this panel then please ask them to complete the attached application form.

If you feel you require more information about the role or need assistance with your application, please do not hesitate to contact Richard Judd (Football Services Manager) on 01622 791 850. Conversations will be both informal and confidential.

Please note that all applications must be received by 5pm on Friday 29th September 2017.
