Kent FA to host an England Talent Day

Kent FA are pleased to announce they have been awarded a licence by The FA to host the new Talent Identification Programme for disabled young players

FA Talent Identification Programmes (TIPs) will be utilised as environments to identify and signpost players to the ‘right’ environment at that point in time (they will run on a yearly basis to ensure that players can be viewed annually and kept in the Talent System). TIPs will commence with an England Talent Day before leading into a six week prescriptive player assessment/signposting period.

The England Talent Day is an integral part of The FA's new Disability Talent Pathway, identifying young players playing disability and mainstream football aged between 12-16 years old for 2016/2017 season and is one of 35 which will be taking place. The programme is quality assured to support the development of young talented disabled players, offering a clear pathway.

Kent FA will be running their England Talent Day on Saturday 25th March 2017 at K Sports, Station Road, Aylesford from 11am - 1pm.

The pathway aims to recruit players that can progress to FA Regional Talent Centres, FA Emerging Talent Programme, England Development Squads and England Elite Squads as highlighted within The FA’s Disability Player Pathway.  The impairments that England teams currently cater for are as follows:

•Learning Disability
•Cerebral Palsy
•Partially Sighted
•Blind
•Deaf
•Amputee
