Celebrate the Great – Nominate your Kent Award Winners!

The Kent FA Workforce Awards are one of the main events in Kent’s football calendar and this year’s nominations are now open.

As the season has drawn to a close it is a great time to say ‘thank you’ to all the volunteers who keep football going every week throughout Kent. The Kent FA will select a winner in each category who will be invited to the Kent FA 2017 Football Workforce Awards evening to be held in the autumn, where they will be presented with their award to celebrate the achievement.

We are delighted to add two new awards to the collection this season, which are:

- Kent Football League Secretary of the Year Award
- Kent Football Club Secretary of the Year Award.

Deadline for nominations is Monday, 17th July 2017

Kent FA Volunteer Workforce Award (3 Winners)
This award will go to an individual as recognition of outstanding volunteering service to Kent football.  This individual will have dedicated their time to improving, facilitating and supporting the game in Kent.

Outstanding Contribution to Refereeing
This award will go to an individual who has shown, and demonstrated, a commitment to supporting grassroots football, via officiating. Consideration can be given to any individual who has given several years of service, officiated in a high number of games, or who may now be giving support and advice to other referees, including avenues such as assessing, mentoring, coaching or tutoring. Not only would this individual prove to be a fantastic servant to Kent football, but focus will be given to those who have significantly enhanced the experience for others.

Outstanding Contribution to Women & Girls Football
This award will go to an individual who has gone above and beyond in their role(s) within Kent football, demonstrating truly extraordinary dedication, passion and innovation to contribute to the development and growth of the women and girls game in the county.

Outstanding Contribution to Safeguarding Children in Football
This award will go to an individual who has gone above and beyond in their role(s) within Kent football, demonstrating truly extraordinary dedication, passion and innovation to contribute to the safeguarding and welfare of children in football in the county.

Outstanding Contribution to Disability Football
This award will go to an individual who has gone above and beyond in their role(s) within Kent football, demonstrating truly extraordinary dedication, passion and innovation to contribute to the development and growth of disability football in the county.

Kent FA Young Referee of the Year
This award will go to any referee, aged 16-25, who regularly shows a commitment to officiating. This award will go to any young referee who demonstrates consistently high quality performances and dedication on the field, or, perhaps have shown a willingness to engage in supporting fellow colleagues, through mentoring, coaching or assessing.

Kent Football Media Contributor of the Year
This award will go to an individual or organisation who has demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to promoting, developing and innovating football media.  They will have exceeded expectations and given above and beyond to improve and develop their club’s profile and awareness within the county in their respective media field – whether through match reporting, photography, social media or any other media outlet.

Kent Football League Secretary of the Year
This award will go to an individual who has gone above and beyond in their League Secretary role within Kent football, demonstrating truly extraordinary dedication, passion and innovation to contribute to the development and growth of the adult game in the county.

Kent Football Club Secretary of the Year
This award will go to an individual who has gone above and beyond in their Club Secretary role within Kent football, demonstrating truly extraordinary dedication, passion and innovation to contribute to the development and growth of the adult game in the county.
