Diana Award Training a Success!

Kent FA was delighted to have teamed up with The Diana Award.

Kent FA was delighted to have teamed up with The Diana Award to provide Youth Council ambassadors with mentor training.

This training will now allow them to mentor other young people in football.

The training which was carried out over two evenings provided the ambassadors with an understanding of the role of a mentor and principles of effective mentoring.

The Diana Award is a charity legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales’ belief that young people have the power to change the world. Their mission is to foster, develop and inspire positive change in the lives of young people.

Football Development Officer, Lee Suter said “This season the ambassadors wanted to focus on developing themselves with the long term aim then implementing what they have learnt by supporting other young people. This training not only adds to their experience and CV but gives them the confidence to help others”.
