Tankerton FC started running Deaf sessions at the beginning of January for primary aged children with any level of deafness/hearing impairment. 

Since then they have attracted new players, funding and sponsors allowing the club to continue to grow.

On Saturday 17th March the club took a monumental step forward in supporting the team and the coaches, by taking part in a workshop on the introduction to deaf awareness in coaching. The workshop was delivered by Andrew Belcher at BSL Training who was joined by Charlton Deaf Coach Ryan Marshall and Karen Green from Interpreting Matters.

The sessions take place fortnightly on Saturdays at All Saints Church Hall, Church Street, Whitstable, CT5 1PG. The next session is Saturday 31st March 2018.
