Kent Intermediate Cup

DFDS Kent Intermediate Cup tonight

Who will take home the silverware this year?

We have an exciting bumper week of Kent County Cup Finals, which kicks off with the DFDS Kent Intermediate Cup this evening.

This is swiftly followed by the DFDS Kent Intermediate Challenge Shield and DFDS Kent Junior B Cup on Saturday and the DFDS Kent Sunday Junior Trophy and DFDS Sunday Junior Cup on Sunday.

Tonight, Deal Town Reserves will take on Rusthall Reserves at The Total Power Stadium, Holm Park, to see who will take the DFDS Kent Intermediate Cup home this season. We have been speaking to the key figures involved to find out how the teams are feeling about their upcoming game.

Deal Town Reserves manager, Andrew Crush, said: “We are delighted to be in the final of the DFDS Kent Intermediate Cup and know we face a tough game against Rusthall Reserves, who are currently above us in the league. Being promoted this season and going into Rusthall’s league next year will be a great test of what’s to come for the boys next season. We look forward to putting on a great final and hopefully we can come away winners in our first season at Deal Town.”

Lee Chamber, Rusthall Reserves manager, added: “The whole club are really looking forward to the final tonight. We have done really well in this competition - beating sides from higher divisions to reach the final. This is our third Kent Cup final in the last four years, and it would be another fantastic achievement if we managed to finish this season on a high.”

Tonight promises to be a fantastic final, and we wish both teams the best of luck.
