Women and Girls Football

Football is the top female sport in the county with players competing in Kent FA affiliated league and cup competitions.

Kent is one of the biggest counties for female participation, with teams playing from u8s, Futsal and disability right through to women's adult 11-a-side. 

The Kent FA development team are here to help you with matters relating to leagues, team development, female coach education bursaries, school club link projects, taster sessions and club meetings - all to ensure the development of Girls and Women’s football continues within the County. Goals for Girls

Goals for Girls is a series of small-sided festivals for u8 and u10 girls to encourage participation, skill development and the enjoyment of playing football.

Kent Centre of Excellence

Gillingham FC, in conjunction with the Kent FA, run the only girls Centre of Excellence in Kent which has had its licence extended to June 2017 (subject to yearly monitoring)  The centre will provide football for under 9’s, 11’s, 13’s, 15’s and under 17’s. The 17’s will also take part in a National Cup competition. The girls play fixtures on a Saturday against other centres including Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton. You can visit their website here

Representative Football

The Kent FA also run a women's representative football team, with the best players from the clubs in the county representing Kent against teams from across the South East.  The women's rep team won the South East Counties league in 2013. Click here for the full 2016/2017 fixtures list.
