Kent FA Coaching Academy

Kent FA Coaching Academy aims to produce high-quality coaches to service the local game as well as provide opportunities to progress within the professional game including appointments to; Player Development Centres, Centre of Excellence and academies.

Crucial to the future of coaching and participation in Kent, is the identification and development of individuals who display the potential and desire to progress as a coach. Over the past few years Kent has been extremely fortunate to have provided opportunity to some of its most progressive coaching workforce through groups such as; the Kent FA Coaches Association, Kent FA Youth Council and Player Development Centres.

Building upon the success of these structures and an established coach education programme, we believe the Kent FA Coaching Academy will inspire and create opportunity for young coaches to progress by meeting high levels of coaching competences through a modern learning environment, mentoring and a clear coach education pathway.

The academy will recognise and assist the Kent FA to reflect the demographics of Kent through an inclusive membership embracing BAME, female and disabled coaches. This will be supported by the FA Coach Mentor programme and Kent FA staff.

Progression of individuals will be measured and determined through personal action plans, with members being supported in the preparation of FA coach education courses as well as on-going support to successfully meet competences to pass the course.

Supported and driven by the Kent FA, FA County Coach Developer and the Lead Academy Coach, the group will meet 4 times a year. This is in addition to the opportunity to attend Kent FA Licensed Coaches Club events throughout the season.

The Kent County FA is committed to achieving equality and fairness in employment and service delivery. We welcome applications from all sections of the community particularly from underrepresented groups.
