Kent FA supporting NSPCC Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport campaign
We are proud to support the NSPCC's Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport campaign. This national, year-round campaign aims to raise awareness of the important role parents play in keeping their children safe in sport.
Alongside the year-round campaign, the Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport (KYCSIS) awareness-raising week is taking place from 7 ‑ 11 October 2024 with a focus on building safer sporting communities for children.
Lucy Kidd, Head of Safeguarding at Kent FA, said: “Ensuring children are safe in football is why we do what we do, and we are proud to support this campaign. Parents and carers are key factors in keeping children safe in football. Football is safest when everyone plays their role in keeping children safe! This campaign is the perfect way to bring your local football community together, create an open and inclusive culture where parents can speak up and raise any questions or concerns and help keep sport safe and fun for everyone.”
Get involved in a Team Huddle
A Team Huddle is a great way for everyone involved in football at your club to play, chat, and connect. It also provides an opportunity to inform parents, carers, volunteers, and staff about the part they play in keeping children safe in sport.
Team Huddle Event Pack
To support these efforts, the NSPCC are offering free downloadable Team Huddle activity packs, which are designed to help conversations about safeguarding and supervision, reinforcing the importance of child welfare in sports.

Share Your Huddle
Alongside the NSPCC, we are calling on local clubs to share their Team Huddle event details and photos by using the hashtags #SafeinSport #KentFootball and tagging @NSPCC and @KentFA on social media.
