Paul Vines set Metrogas on their way to victory in the Kent Veterans Cup final at the Gallagher Stadium.

The striker headed in a free-kick midway through the first half as Metrogas took a deserved lead.

Strike partner Grant Cunny doubled their advantage early in the second half with an accomplished finish.

Ash Green pulled a goal back late on from the penalty spot through Ryan Robinson, who had earlier hit the post, but any hopes of a dramatic finale were dashed when Scott Kinch converted a third goal for Metrogas six minutes from time.
