Kent Junior Cup A final: Medway City 5 Littlebourne 4
Sam Parish scored four times as Rochester & District League Medway City beat Littlebourne at Maidstone’s Gallagher Stadium.
It was the last scheduled cup final of the season and the teams certainly ensured the best was saved to last as a pulsating tie was finally decided by Lewis Taylor’s brilliant injury-time goal.
Medway led through Parish but Aaron Garvey’s long-range header and Robbie Loomer put Littlebourne ahead only for Medway to level in first-half stoppage-time through a Parish penalty.
Parish made it 3-2 early in the second half but Loomer’s penalty immediately made it 3-3 only for Medway to regain the lead through a Parish header.
Matt Martin’s close-range finish made it 4-4 with 20 minutes left and, while Littlebourne hit the woodwork shortly after, it was Medway City who came out on top when Taylor beat two defenders in the box and fired home.
