The DFDS Kent Sunday Junior Cup
Range Rovers Sports 2 Park Regis Neo 2 (after extra-time) - Sports win 3-2 on penalties.
Goalkeeper Olly Dewey was the Range Rovers Sports hero after saving twice in the penalty shoot-out as they defeated fellow Sheppey Sunday League side Park Regis Neo at Chatham.
A thrilling contest between the top two sides in the Sheppey Sunday League ended 2-2 after extra-time.
Harry Goodger scored twice for Sports either side of the break to cancel out Neo’s opener which had come from Frank Phipps’ superbly struck free-kick after 20 minutes. Goodger headed his side level from Dan Walder’s corner and then made it 2-1 from Tom Mills’ cross with just over an hour gone.
Walder twice hit the woodwork during the match and there was plenty of goalmouth action throughout the 120 minutes. Phipps was denied a late winner for Neo as Dewey tipped his effort over while Dan Cummins got a chance to win it on but Reece Heasman saved.
With no goals in extra-time, penalties were needed. Neo converted their first two spot-kicks but missed their third and Dewey saved the next two, winning it for his side.
