Kent FA Women’s Cup final: Gillingham 3 Dartford 0
Gillingham showed their National League class in a 3-0 win over Dartford in the Kent Women’s Cup final.
With wingers Mel Espinosa and Kara Foodjoor causing all sorts of problems, the Gills struck twice in a four-minute spell during the first half.
Phoebe Leitch headed the opener from Espinosa’s cross and it was player-of-the-match Espinosa who doubled the lead with a lovely finish over keeper Kelly Amerasinghe.
Holders Dartford worked hard to stay in the tie, rallying in the second half, but substitute Maddie Farrand completed victory with a late third for Gillingham, two minutes after coming on.
