DFDS Kent Senior Trophy: Punjab United 6 Deal Town FC 0
Dominant Punjab United eased past Deal in the DFDS Kent Senior Trophy Final at Maidstone’s Gallagher Stadium.
Chipie Sian’s troops were four goals to the good at the break thanks to efforts by Paul Vines, Jayden Hussain, William Johnson-Cole and Theo McKenzie.
Promising young attacker Hussain completed a second successive hat-trick after the restart, while teenage Deal defender Alex Green was sent off for a professional foul with his side already five goals behind.
The Hoops had come into the showdown on an 18-match unbeaten run - only for Punjab to rip up the script in front of a massive crowd of 1,851, including more than 1,000 Deal fans.
