Kent Merit Under-14 Girls Cup Final: Maidstone United 1 London City Lionesses 3

Player of the Match Lucy Hope scored one and made another as London City Lionesses beat Maidstone United at the Gallagher Stadium.

London had already hit the woodwork through Sienna Loom before Hope headed home from close range after Stones keeper Lucy Morley did well to deny Loom’s original attempt on 13 minutes.

The lead was doubled early in the second half when Hope crossed from the right and Lillie-Rose Banks’ clever finish found the bottom corner.

It was 3-0 when Marne Mae Owen turned in a Loom corner but one of the biggest cheers of the game was reserved for stoppage time when Maidstone’s Kelsi Wilkinson produced a brilliant run and low finish to give her side a consolation goal.
