There was little to choose between Vinters Rangers and Wigmore Youth in the Under-15 Boys Plate Final at Holm Park.

The game could have gone either way but the fact Wigmore keeper Alfie Panks was named man-of-the-match signalled how the tie was decided.

Panks was impressive, particularly in the first half, as he regularly thwarted Vinters. Wigmore had led through Harry Elmer only for Vinters to level the scores through Harry Brook's free-kick.

Wigmore regained the lead in the second half when Dylan Garlinge showed neat footwork before scoring, and the game was put beyond doubt as the speedy George Durling beat two defenders and found the bottom corner with a stylish finish.
