Cup Final Match Summary: Bromley 2 Herne Bay Youth 4 (AET)

Goalkeeper Maggie Town was named player-of-the-year after playing a key role for Herne Bay Youth. Brave Town produced a string of excellent saves to continually thwart a Bromley side who came from 2-0 down to force extra-time.

Bay went ahead on 26 minutes when Drew-Marie Hogben got to a through ball ahead of the onrushing keeper and slotted into an empty net. They doubled their advantage seven minutes later when the brilliant Lily Harris beat her marker out wide and then produced a stunning right-foot finish into the far corner from an acute angle.

Bromley responded after the break with forward Sy’ria Thompson-Campbell scoring twice, the second a close-range finish with three minutes to go. Ffion Sharp’s excellent shot put Bay ahead early in extra-time and Kira Necker was on hand at the far post to complete the scoring.
