Kent FA Announce New Partnership to Help Make Kent Football Greener!

The Kent FA is proud and excited to announce a new partnership with ‘Bourne To Garden’ to help support the improvement of grass football pitches across Kent.

The partnership includes the purchase of specific equipment to assist with pitch improvement worth over £40,000 pounds of investment from both Kent FA and ‘Bourne To Garden’.

Kent FA’s Football Development Manager, Lee Suter said, “We are really excited to start working with ‘Bourne To Garden’ to support the playing environment for all. We understand that a well maintained pitch not only allows for more fixtures throughout the season but adds to the positive experience of all involved within grassroots football.

‘Bourne to Garden’ is a gardening and landscaping business who offer one off pitch work, on-going maintenance. Bourne to Garden are a genuine, friendly, cost effective and fully insured Kent based company; and are currently supporting Kent football clubs including Hawkinge Youth FC, Rising Stars FC and Chartham Sports FC.

As part of the Pitch Improvement Programme, Kent FA has set an ambitious target of improving 222 pitches by the end of the 2020-21 season. The key principles behind the Pitch Improvement Programme is to provide clubs, and their pitch providers, with expert advice and practical solutions for developing and maintaining their grass pitches, and improving playing surfaces across Kent.
