Get Your Club Involved - Rainbow Laces 2019 Campaign Set to Launch
Get Your Club Involved – #RainbowLaces 2019 Campaign Set to Launch
The 2019 Rainbow Laces campaign, run in partnership by Stonewall and the FA, gets underway on Friday 22nd November and runs until Sunday 8th December!
The campaign has had an incredible impact over the past 4 years and has inspired over seven million people to feel more positive about LGBT+ inclusion in sport. The campaign returns this year to once again to build on the previous successes in order to make football as inclusive as possible
The campaign is a way for everyone involved in football to show their support for LGBT+ equality, diversity and inclusivity. Kent FA is proud to support the initiative and would like to invite Kent clubs and leagues to join us in supporting this campaign.
Kent FA will be promoting the campaign and showing its support over the coming weeks in a variety of ways, including providing an exciting opportunity for clubs in Kent to get involved and wear their own Rainbow Laces to support the campaign.
Kent FA has over 800 pairs of rainbow laces reserved by clubs who want to get involved and show their support for the 2019 Rainbow Laces campaign.
Kent FA would like all clubs that have reserved their own Rainbow Laces to wear them on the weekend of the 7th and 8th December!
Beyond wearing the laces, there are other ways leagues, clubs, players and volunteers can show their support for the Rainbow Laces 2019 campaign. Clubs, leagues and volunteers can create their own Rainbow Laces content for social media, as well as download the Rainbow Laces activation pack which includes a checklist and helpful guide of how the campaign can be embraced. There is also an easy to use activity to spark the conversation among young people. All these assets and more can be downloaded here:
