An excellent feature published on TheFA.com highlights the journey undertaken by Kent referee Kirsty Dowle, who at the end of 2019 was named to the FIFA International List of Referees.
Kirsty’s journey has been nothing short of inspirational.
Having been a fan of the beautiful game, it wasn’t until Kirsty wrote her university dissertation on refereeing that she commenced her journey as an official.
Now 28-years-old, Kirsty is a Level 3 referee that has overseen matches in the top flight of women’s football in the WSL and will now be available to form part of refereeing teams across the world.
