U15 Girls Final 2020

Report - U15 Girls Cup Final

Langton Green 4-0 Kings Hill

A hat-trick from Langton Green’s Maisie Hagger secured a 4-0 cup final victory over Kings Hill.

Langton had the better of the first half and forced a number of good saves from Shinade Laird early on.

The opening goal came direct from a corner as Hagger swung in a deep cross, which evaded everyone and nestled into the far top corner after 13 minutes.

Moments later, Jessica Gayle beat the offside trap well but her shot was parried wide by Laird.

Langton’s persistence paid off when Mollie Tickner’s long range lob came off the bar and was quickly followed in by Hagger, who tapped in from point-blank range for her second.

Neither side was able to take control in the opening exchanges in the first half and Mia Gray had the first real opportunity with 20 minutes to go, rounding three players with a jinking run into the box, but a combination of Charlotte Sone and Laird blocked her shot.

Kings Hill almost pulled a goal back in the final 10 minutes as Emma Healey played a well-timed pass through to Freya Boxer, who rounded Abigail Naismtih but Langton defender Hannah Adkin raced back to clear the ball off the line to prevent a certain goal.

Langton piled on the pressure in the closing minutes and scored two quick-fire goals to secure the win. Hagger received the ball on the edge of the area and slid the ball home from the edge of the box for her hat-trick

Seconds later, a cross came in from the left hand side which striker Jess Gale met at the far back post to pass into the bottom right corner for Langton’s fourth.
