Kent FA announces new leadership team for the Kent FA Youth Council

Following an extensive selection process, Kent FA announces the three individuals who will step up to the leadership team for the 2020/21 season.

Following an extensive selection process, Kent FA is pleased to announce that Beth has been chosen to be the Head of the Kent FA Youth Council for the 2020/21 season, with Kian and Katana completing the leadership line-up as Team Leaders.

The Kent FA Youth Council is the voice of young people across our county. They are passionate about building themselves, their team and their community for the future. Together, they aim to evolve our game to ensure it is a safe, enjoyable and inclusive place for all.

The award-winning youth council work on several projects throughout the season which are designed to have a positive impact on the experiences of young footballers in the county – from growing participation to tackling inequality. Examples of previous youth council projects include ‘Swearing, Let’s Tackle It!’ and #KentFAThanksU. 

 

Luke Baker, Football Development Officer for Youth Football at Kent FA, commented: “We know 2020 has been a challenge, but with this fresh and exciting leadership team, we’re confident that this group of young people can continue to make a positive impact to our game.”

Beth added “I am so excited to start this new role as Head of the Youth Council. I can’t wait to share my personal experiences and leadership to bring our projects to life this year”

Beth, Kian and Kat will lead ten passionate ambassadors for youth football: Laurel C, Grace M, Harry C, Ben F, Jake F, Jasmine R, Archie L, Adama L, Wayne M, Josh W.
