Photo Competition Winner Announced
In March, Kent FA were excited to launch a photo competition to celebrate the safe return of football.
We couldn’t wait to see the competition submissions.
Kent FA invited clubs, leagues, players, spectators and volunteers, to send in pictures which captured what football in Kent really means to them.
We received a huge number of photos from teams celebrating a goal, volunteers helping others and some touching moments where football simply brought people together.
Following much debate between Kent FA staff, we are delighted to announce the winning photo from Larkfield FC Under-10 Girls.
Sarah M'Grady from the club gave an insight into how the photo came about and what it means to her.
“After a really strong and successful season in the Kent Girls & Ladies Football League, the team had reached the final of the League Cup," she said. "The photo shows the relief and delight at the end of the final match following a narrow win. A really special day for all involved with the team and for me, as their manager, one of my happiest in football.”
Larkfield will now receive the prize of footballs and bibs to help support the next generation of girls get started.
Lee Suter, Football Development Manager said: “The last 12 month have been a real challenge for everyone, but seeing so many inspirational photos really showed the magic of Kent football and what it means to so many people. Thank you to everyone who submitted their photos and congratulations to Sarah McGrady and the Larkfield FC Under-10 Girls.”
