- Someone who has created a positive environment that encourages young people/adults at risk to have fun and enjoy their football experience.
- Someone proactive in utilising FA initiatives (Play Safe weekend / Respect programme/Enough is Enough/ Silent weekend) to improve the playing experience for young people/adults at risk.
Head of Safeguarding at Kent FA, Lucy Kidd, comments on why these awards are so important: "This award aims to recognise and celebrate the often unnoticed work that league and club welfare officers do to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive playing environment for all players across Kent. It is a fantastic opportunity to thank our dedicated Kent Welfare Officers for all they do to keep the game safe across the county."
