BAE Systems collaboration aimed to inspire more female volunteers into the Kent game
Today marks an exciting milestone as Kent FA and BAE Systems proudly announce a new collaboration to empower and uplift female volunteers across the county. This strategic joint work aims to foster a supportive community where women and girls can thrive to make a positive impact in the Kent football community.
Recognising the invaluable contributions of female volunteers in various roles, this alliance seeks to provide them with opportunities to unite with like-minded volunteers, enjoy networking opportunities to amplify their voices, and catalyse change in their communities. By uniting under a common mission, #OnePitchOneGame, together we aim to empower female volunteers to break down barriers and create inclusive environments where women can flourish and lead with confidence. By harnessing the collective power of these passionate individuals, this collaboration aims to unleash the full potential of female volunteers in our game.
"We are thrilled to join forces with BAE Systems once again in our shared commitment to empower female volunteers involved in the Kent game. Together, we hope to create a community where female volunteers are celebrated, equipped, and empowered to make a difference to the grassroots game in Kent," said Claire Whybrew, Head of Marketing and Partnerships at Kent FA.
Jenny Lynskey, Human Resources Director at BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems business in Rochester added: "We’re proud to support the communities in which we operate, and particularly volunteers across Kent and Medway who make an incredible contribution to our local area. By working alongside the Kent FA, we want to help inspire the next generation of female volunteers and continue to build the women’s grassroots game across the county."
As clubs and leagues navigate through their own challenges, the role of female volunteers has never been more important. By forging strong partnerships and fostering an environment of support and inclusivity, Kent FA and BAE Systems are ready to make a lasting impact in the lives of female volunteers and their communities.
