For those women who are new to football or have previously played but cannot commit to the weekly training and matches that are involved in the 11-a-side game, there are a number of recreational sessions that can accommodate you.
Futsal is a fast-paced fun versions of indoor 5-a-side football that originated in Brazil.
The rules and equipment focus on ball skills, movement and quick passing. It’s a lot of fun and incredibly popular in Brazil, Spain, Italy and as player development for professional football clubs etc. In Kent we have a Women’s Futsal League that play on a regular basis and have a league setup as well as a recreational turn up and play session for those not ready to compete just yet.
Catherine Bradley leads on this exciting opportunity and can be contacted via Catherine.Bradley@kentdowns.org.uk or by visiting the website below
