Cup Final Match Summary: Ebbsfleet United 0-8 AFC Worthing

AFC Worthing reached the half-century of goals by lifting the Kent Merit Under-13 Boys Plate Final at Sheppey’s Holm Park.

The Sussex side went through six games and didn’t concede a goal as they proved more than worthy winners of the competition.

AJ Whiteman stole the show in the final, scoring five times to take home both the matchball and man-of-the-match trophy.

Worthing raced into a four-goal lead on 21 minutes. Whiteman scored twice while Liam Thomas added two near-identical headers from in-swinging corners.

Whiteman completed his hat-trick early in the second half but improved Ebbsfleet held out until the final two minutes when Worthing added to their tally, Whiteman scoring twice more either side of Caleb Moxey’s penalty.
