Cup Final Match Summary: Dartford 0-1 Maidstone United

Maidstone scored a late winner to take the honours on a windy morning at Whitstable’s The Belmont ground.

Dartford had the best of the early exchanges with the excellent Finley Williams impressing down the right and it needed some fine saves from Maidstone keeper Lucas Brookman to keep the Darts at bay.

Maidstone started the second half brightly but the game took a twist on 55 minutes when Darts midfielder George Bishop collected two yellow cards in the space of three minutes.

Maidstone made the breakthrough with two minutes left when a ball over the top saw keeper Woody Leach hesitate and Paddy Flynn nipped to take full advantage and score the only goal of the game.
