Beyond The Pitch - Accounting Support workshop for Kent Clubs and Leagues

Join us on Monday 3rd June 2024 (7pm-8:30pm)

In our role of supporting the volunteering workforce, we recently sent a survey to club and league treasurers to understand their needs and challenges regarding financial reporting and accounts.

Their insightful and valuable feedback has influenced a new workshop, supported by our Accounting Partner, Shapes, and Kent FA’s Deputy CEO, Richard Judd, to help improve club and league financial transparency, efficiency, and financial sustainability.

Given that financial mismanagement is a significant issue for many clubs and leagues, this workshop is a unique opportunity to equip treasurers, administrators, and officials with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the financial landscape confidently. By promoting transparency and accountability, we aim to build trust among stakeholders and pave the way for long-term sustainability and success.

Jim Leeves FCA, from Shapes, says about the upcoming event, “'Football is a beautiful and simple game, and managing your club finances should be too. We'll show how easy it can be to manage your finances, making things quicker, simpler and more transparent so you can focus on what happens on the pitch.”

As the football landscape continues to evolve, clubs' and leagues' success will increasingly depend on their ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic financial environment. Through initiatives like this workshop, clubs and leagues are taking a proactive step to seize opportunities for improvement.
