Representative Football is an important part of the County FA’s remit and it is no small honour to be called up.
Kent FA squads have enjoyed numerous successes throughout their history both at regional and national level.
The U16’s have won the South East Counties Championship 4 times in the last 6 years and are the defending champions ahead of this year’s campaign. Their first league game is at home to Middlesex.
The U18’s won the same competition 3 years in a row from 08/09 – 10/11, but had to settle for second place last season, being piped to the title by AFA on the last game of the season and will looking to be champions again this season. They begin their campaign with a tough home fixture at 11/12 season’s winners Sussex. The U18’s also play in the FA County Youth Cup, which they last won in 2010, and have been drawn in the second round away against Norfolk on Saturday 2nd November.
Last season the Ladies made their own piece of Kent FA history by winning the Southern Counties Cup for the first time, clinching the title on goal difference. This season the Ladies will look to match last season’s exploits, and will open the defence of their Southern Counties Cup title against new comers the RAF on Wednesday 20th November. We also have a ladies development squad, largely made up of under 18 players, who play competitive friendlies throughout the season and provide a link between school football and the county side.
